Diet-wise, I added a couple of capsules of fish oil and a couple of capsules of essential fatty acids, because my joints were a little sore yesterday. I also added an extra potassium pill (I’m taking four 99mg pills a day now) to deal with some muscle cramping.

    A) your sore because you did 6 sets of heavy deadlifts, if u think u need fish oil capsules to make it feel better, i have a bridge to sell you in brooklyn.
B)I’d say you dumped all of your bodies ATP after your 50 pullups which means your running off fumes for the rest..workouts just too long.

I pull over 500. Those were not heavy deads. I’m just not getting the kind of nutrients my body is used to. I’ve done this before, and I know what to expect, and what will make me feel better.

thomas, you did low reps which should mean they were heavy for you, unless your not giving it an effort. To say you know what to expect because you’ve done this before is just simple arrogance, ask any bodybuilder. Expect the unexpected when it comes to your body and training is more of a logical approach. To adapt, adjust, and cope with training, the body is constantly in repair so when you feed it silly supplements that are foreign, it just has to work that much harder to fend off these unrecognized substances. if you feel better, then take fish oil, but all studies have shown it’s a buildup over time that helps joints, so it’s probably all in your head.

Read your twitter. Interesting that you were LMAO at me. Thomas, if 315lbs is so light for a hulk like you, why are you doing 4 reps? Ironically my friend, I was LMAO that you were taking fish oil and potasium pills thinking you were feeling a immediate difference. Have a great week.

I only have 60% functionality in my right hand, so my grip gives out before anything else. I’m trying to bring that up, hence the low reps. That’s also why I do so much forearm work on what’s supposed to be a lower-body day: its an assistance exercise for the deadlift.

As to knowing what to expect: anyone with a few years of training will be able to tell you what a familiar protocol will do for – or to – them. Bodybuilders and powerlifters in particular. They are able to manipulate their training and diet so precisely that they peak on a particular day. It isn’t arrogance, it’s experience.

And yes, when someone starts doling out training advice with no knowledge of my training history, injuries, or diet, I’m going to laugh. When someone tells me that fish oil is a foreign substance that my body has to fend off, I’m going to laugh.

Funny thing is that my grip was the first thing to give out on me tonight doing deadlifts also. Thomas, fish oil pills will help your joints if thats what you need to hear. My point was that the body is in a constant battle to find equilibium, during training it’s even tougher for the body to find it, so popping pills…do what you like.
I enjoy your insight on training. But my friend, if you want to brag about your superiority with the deadlift, be able to actually lift the weight. I used to be able to dunk before my ankle injury. i don’t boast about dunking currently

And now I’m lying about my numbers. Fantastic.
